Tomorrow (Feb. 18) marks the 10-year anniversary of my first band’s first gig. Without getting too nostalgic, I remember it pretty clearly (and still have the pick I used that night kicking around somewhere). As silly as that band was (even though we thought we were gonna be huge, along with the rest of the local music scene), it really provided some valuable experience and paved the way for me to get where I am now. In that 10 years I’ve done some pretty cool things; I’ve played tons of shows, recorded a couple CDs, performed around the world and met some great and inspirational people along the way.
So I guess this is my way of saying thanks to those guys for letting me make music with them and for helping me to get where I’m going.
