Fri. Mar 28 – DC Sound Collective @ Placebo Space. This is the DCSC’s first gig in a very long time and Devin has written some really interesting new music. Devin Chubb (tbn), Chelsea McBride (ts), Paul Barton (gt), Tyler Goertzen (dr).
Sun. Apr 13 – Orbitals @ The Emmet Ray. Every second Sunday at the Emmet Ray, you can hear some improvised music performed by myself, Jon Shearsmith (gt), Darryl Joseph-Dennie (kb) and Jordan Zagerman (dr). Tunes by all of us and the odd standard thrown in for good measure.
Sat. Apr 19 – Ali Bros @ May Cafe. Electric jazz in the vein of Brecker Brothers, led by Brownman Ali (trumpet, korg, effects) and Marcus Ali (alto sax, effects) joined by myself and Marito Marques (drums).
Tues. Apr 29 – Brad Cheeseman Group @ The Rex. You’ll definitely hear more about this one in the coming weeks, but we’re very much looking forward to our Rex Hotel debut. Lorenzo Castelli (dr), Robert Chapman (gt), Sam Kogen (kb), Chelsea McBride (ts).
