Tifane was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and has become an important figure in the world of Kreyol music. She studied Sociology in Chicago, and upon graduating, decided to return to Haiti to follow her first love: song.
Since 2004 Tifane has been active in song writing and performing, and has enjoyed long running success with her hit single ‘Se kom si’. This early success at age 24 led to the release of her first album, ‘Anprent’ in 2006. Numerous awards followed, including ‘Best Female Artist’, New York 2007. She works as an Ambassador for the Handicapped in Haiti while continuing to perform at prestigious concerts and festivals across Haiti. Don’t miss Tifane in Toronto at Francophonie en Fête’s OLG Stage at the Distillery.
